Elgon Festival 2025 is Back—A Grand Celebration of All 9 Elgon Ethnicities and Sun tribes

The Elgon Festival 2025 returns with a powerful message of unity, culture, conservation, and community empowerment—bringing together all 9 Elgon ethnic groups from Uganda and Kenya! While the Bamasaaba are proud hosts, this festival celebrates the shared heritage and diversity of the entire Elgon region.

What to Expect:

3 Themed Cultural Nights:

1. Bamasaaba Night – honoring the hosts with traditional food, attire, and dance.

2. International Night – showcasing performances across East Africa.

3. National Night – featuring top Ugandan artists from Kampala and beyond.

Creative Market – crafts, fashion, music, and artisan showcases.

Guided Mt. Elgon hikes (Bushiyi trail) in partnership with UWA.

Youth mentorship sessions, tourism, and networking.

With strong backing from Mbale City, Uganda Wildlife Authority, and organizers like Situma Joseph, Priscilla Kaniza, MC Izaak, and Musosi Ibra—this will be the most inclusive and impactful edition yet!
